Fresh, local produce is always top quality and it’s readily available throughout the Hudson Valley.
Earlier today a question was posed to me: what is one the top reasons to live in New York’s Hudson Valley? Hands down, without hesitation, for me it’s the local produce.
I live in the heart of the Black Dirt Region and I am surrounded by farms. I drive past farmland on my way to just about anywhere, and that sight provides a peaceful sigh as I drive past on my way back home. So when I think about what I love about the area, the farms—and the fresh produce they provide—are at the top of my list. Farmers’ markets in the area showcase several of these farms throughout the week, alongside other local artisans, and many farms run their own stands.
I recently posted a partial list of local options that I hope you will check out if you are in the area. These are really just a few, please be sure to visit as many as you can and enjoy!
